Picking where you want to get married can be a difficult one! There are so many different options nowadays and also lots to think about! You can choose from places that have everything in house or throwing a complete DIY wedding where you can decide and organise all the little details.

The wedding venue is your first decision to make!  Once you have this and a date in place you can start to think of all the lovely other suppliers and details to make your day unique to you.

So where do you start with searching for the perfect place? Think about Location, Style and budget!

Location

Where on the planet do you want to get married? Would you prefer to be close to home or abroad?

Do you want the wedding ceremony to be at the same place as the reception? Or would you not mind travelling to a different location? Some venues don't hold licences so you would need to get legally married elsewhere. There are so many different choices, so speak with your partner and decide what is important to you!

Style

There are so many different styles to choose from! You can go for a woodland festival, a gothic castle, a grand manor house or your relaxed local pub! What style best suits your vision for the wedding? Remember...you can pick anywhere to get married! choose something that makes you both happy.

Budget

The venue can take up a huge portion of your budget! Be sure to email and ask questions before visiting! You wouldn’t want to fall in love with a venue that is way over budget.

Within the budget you should consider and research the venues policies on corkage, what suppliers you can use (if they have recommended caterers you have to use) and add ons. This way you won’t have any surprise cost additions.

So we have put together a list of our favourite unique wedding venues:
