Stunning real bride Amy got married on the 30th of May 2023. looked like a glamorous Hollywood star on her wedding day!
Amy Picked our Galactic Blue dress with a dramatic black under-slip. The black slip really brings out the detail in the lace. We do LOVE a black wedding dress and Amy just looks incredible! Amy customised our dress to make it perfect for her! She added a dramatic V neck front with a higher back with button details.
We asked her a few questions about her wedding experience and her big day!
Please Tell us about your wedding day look:
“1920s hollywood glamour! It started with the dress shell pattern that I just adored and it went from there, hollywood waves, pearls in my hair, a dark lipstick. I felt so glamorous! My bridesmaids were so on board with my dress colour and style that I ended up choosing black dresses and pearls for them too.”
How was wedding planning? Did you come across any issues along the way?
“As a very organised person, I thought I would love it. But there is so much to think about and get perfect!! We pulled it out of the bag in the end and everything ran so smoothly (apart from an eminem song sneaking into our wedding breakfast playlist!). The stress and long evenings sorting out seating plans were all worth it! Even months later our family tells us frequently how much fun they had.”
Why did you choose a Lucy Can’t Dance dress?
“Even before I was engaged I was OBSESSED with Lucy Can't Dance! I knew I'd never feel right in a standard dress and I was determined to feel comfortable and feel 'me' on my wedding day. I loved the creativity that your dresses give and it was so exciting that I could literally have whatever I want!”
Tell us about choosing your dress at Lucy Can’t Dance
“It was relaxed and chilled out from start to finish and exactly what I needed! I'm based in Staffordshire and took the long drive to the studio and back for try ons and measuring sessions and I don't regret it for a second. The girls are so lovely and knowledgeable and such hype girls when you have the dresses on! I felt like a movie star.
I had followed you guys on Instagram for so long that I walked in the studio and was comfortable immediately! Literally the best experience, better than I could ever have hoped.”
What was your favourite part of the day?
“Definitely the evening reception, our DJ was exceptional and it was so fun dancing the night away with all the people we loved all in the same place.”
