Lovely real bride Charlotte got married on the 8th of July 2023. Her wedding photos are full of colour and happiness. Charlotte picked our Venus Rock Dress with an intense tequila sunrise dip dye. She picked the sleeves from our Galactic Blue dress which have a gorgeous petal shape. We are in LOVE with her wedding photos and the matching bridesmaid dresses which compliment the colour of her dress perfectly.
For the colour inspiration Charlotte sent us a photo of a colour wheel. She wanted our popular tequila sunrise colour with a more intense burgundy at the bottom.
We asked Charlotte to tell us more about her whole wedding experience.
Why did you come to Lucy Can’t Dance?
I chose Lucy Can't Dance because you are so inclusive, playful, considerate and colourful. Your dresses are filled with joy and love and recieve such amazing joy and love back from all our friends and family!
My experience at Lucy Can't Dance was one of thoughtfulness from start to finish, allowing me to be surrounded by friends when trying on, enabling me to feel loved and create the dress of my dreams, flexibility when timing had to change and I could see what an incredible team you have alongside you with such passion and deep knowledge of what they do!
What was your wedding outfit like?
My wedding outfit made me feel like I honoured all the women I want to be and true to myself, from the fairy princess of my four year old dreams to a warrior queen with a crown of flowers and it felt incredible as I twirled on the dance floor! My shoes were Esska burnt orange platforms which were so comfy and made me float through a barn venue, in my hair were strawflowers grown by my brother-in-law on his plot at @bateman_road, my earrings were lapis, gold and coral bought on my hen in Dubrovnik with my closest friends. We made our wedding bands in a wonderful workshop with Anna louach, euan made mine and I made his!
How did you find wedding planning?
We found wedding planning oddly enjoyable, we're both programme managers and working together on such a big project enabled us to see another side to each other - thankfully one we both liked. The only hitch came when thinking the seating plan was finished too early which meant we had to change it a couple times when the guest list was final.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was going from getting ready with my best friends to saying our vows privately in a clearing in the forest. Getting that time to really appreciate my partner, say my vows to him and together take a moment to take in it all before a whirlwind day of celebration!
